I dont think i've ever seen an opening like that where footage is interwoven with the logos. Seeing that old footage really set the mood. I dont think the rest of the movie has that darker tone but it certainly is a more serious vibe than the previous sequels. That makes it fit with continuing where T2 left off. The opening narration by Sarah really paved the way for real.
